Padlet – collaborative tools for idea sharing (updated)

Padlet (formerly known as Wallwisher)- it is an online tool to share ideas. No need to install the program, the “wall”, you create, can display at different devices included iPad.

You can post texts, images  and even  a song!  After you post such items, for example an mp3. You can play the song right on the iPad. That is directly streaming the song to you. If you use Padlet on your iPad, you can also use the camera and Photo Album to import your ideas to Padlet. That’s really powerful!

If you  a Math lover or as a Math teacher, tools can display your math formula is important. This tools support LaTeX. That means you can write the code at the post. Then Padlet will convert code into math formula!

If you not familiar LaTeX like me, you can take the post about its history, wiki and example. (Other using LaTeX web is here)You may copy and paste some of the code to Padlet to let your math formula display.

But before and after the code, you need to type two $ at the beginning and the end of the code (offical faq). For example:

$$x = a_0 + \frac{1}{a_1 + \frac{1}{a_2 + \frac{1}{a_3 + a_4}}}$$

Application for Education

This tools like lino (my review), but it is better than it especially math formula features! As you can display very complicated math formula, you can use it at higher form in the school.
