OneBox – save your attachments into cloud storage automatically

OneBox is a new cloud services. The concept is OneBox connect your email account and your cloud-based storage services. Once  a new email appears in your account, it will automatically save the attachments into your cloud-based storage, like Dropbox.

Sounds good? Yes, I try it and feel really convenient!

1) Click ” Try it Now!”

 

2) Choose the cloud services that you have already signed up.

 

3) Get the right to access your “Box”.

4) Then, connect your email account. You can add more than 1 email account. That is, you can connect more than 1 Gmail account.

5) Get the right to access

6) If you want to save your email storage, click this on. OneBox can replace your account’s attachment as link. You can turn off later.

 

7) If you stop using OneBox, you can follow the steps below.

 

After using OneBox, your attachments directly drop into your cloud storage. That means it’s automatically sync to your desktop! Must try!

 

 

FlipQuiz – Gameshow-style boards

FlipQuiz – it’s a new online services for teachers to create the quiz.

Just having a quick try, it satisfied for me! As Flipquiz is easy to use, sign up then all gets to work!

 

You can simply enter your board’s name. Entering the question and answer, the rest leave it to Flipquiz. All done in a second!

Then you can login in any devices PC/MAC, iPad or Android to start your board and review what you talk with students!

 

The Playground of Mathematics

The Playground of Mathematics – it’s an online service about math exercise. You can choose your language (13 types)  to do the exercises in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

 After you choose your right languages at the top of website, you can start your exercise.

Also, you can set the difficulty on different types of math.

 

After all the settings done, you can do your exercise via keyboard or just through the web!

Picozu – it’s a new online image editor which is support layer!

Application for Education

After a short trial, I feel really awesome about this online service. If you know how to use Photoshop, you should give a try with free.

After you edited your image, you can save as various kinds of image format.  That’s good for teachers and students to handle their stuff.

Flaticon – Free vectors icons

Flaticon – it can download Free vector icons in a second.

 

It divided into 33 categories for you to choose the icons.

 

All you have to do is choose the right one. You can download as “svg” or “png” Which can use it in illustrator or Photoshop. Or, you can download it both.

Also, you can click “trending icons” to see what icons are in trend. Really convenient for us.

Recordmp3 – record online

Recordmp3 is an online service to let you recording mp3 online. After giving permission to use your computer’s mic and a video cam. You can start to record your voice.

After your recording, you can save it as mp3 or share the link to others. Really simple to use.

Applications for Education

Now Teachers can record their own voice to instruct student their homework after school. Students can record their conclusion of the report. Really easy to use and useful! No sign up is required.

QuestBase – online multi-platform assessment system

QuestBase  provided an online assessment platform. It supports various platforms: PC, Mac, Linux, Android, IOS, etc.

Teachers need to sign up an account. It used to create the test and questions through their platform.

 

 

 

This platform can let you create many types of question: MC/ True & False, Fill-in-the-blank, Essay, etc.

 

This platform support chinese characters(view only, not support printed version)  and the most important features: Equation!

 

After you key in all the questions, you can output as online test (multi-platform), or print it as traditional test paper.

 

Then you can prepare to publish the online test.

After you finished the online test. You can “double-click” the online test that you prepared. You can find the “pin” cod e for students to join in. Student can go to QuestBase website. Type in the right “Pin” code and start the online test.

ABCya Animate – Create GIF online

ABCya! Animate  – It’s powered by ABCya.com. They launched an online animation engine to create GIF easily.

All you have is : a browser with Flash support (sorry for iPad, except Puffin browser).

 

The UI is wonderful. Really attractive to students. You can draw with pen, type your text, paste with stickers. Also, you can copy the pervious frame to create your GIF. All functions in one UI with easy control.

 

After that, you can save it as GIF. Here is my examples:

Postach.io – Evernote as Blog

Postach.io is a new blog services but gives it in a new way – using Evernote.

Unlike Blogger, WordPress etc, Postach.io connected with Evernote as CMS (Content Management System). Blogger and WordPress using their own storage to post the blog.  Postach.io use other web services – Evernote.  All your content still keep it on your Evernote account.

Postach.io has two functions that I really like it : can using with Skitch for everyone and IFTTT services. Using Skitch for Evernote that means you can draw something on  your blog.  Also, Evernote can support share folders to others. Your blog changed multi-author’s blog(example). Using IFTTT services just changed all posting activates automatically!

 

Application for Educaiton

Free, no setup. All you have to do is using your Evernote account. Just imagine that create the class blog during school picnic or field trip. Each student can post what they learn and see. Cool!

Blubbr – It’s an online services let you create some sort of questions into YouTube.

GoSoapBox – onilne student response system

GoSoapBox is a web services that gives you a system to communicate with your students.

After sign up and confirm your email. You can “create your room”  to students. Then you can create some poll or questions. The most interesting thing about GoSoapBox is you and your students can ask questions immediately right on the  browser. It makes you might answer the questions during your teaching!

It supports chinese  characters in the questions but not in create room.

 

 

  

 

 

After give a try today, I think sounds good about the concepts, but a bit difficult to use – always swap when create the room/questions.

ClippingMagic – This online website provide a professional image editing tools (like Photoshop) but Free!

You can upload or drag your image to website. then you the tools it’s provided. System help you remove the background of your image. That is pretty awesome!

 

Like the dog’s image above, the red line means “erase”. On the other hand, green line/dots means “masks”.

I really like this service when it’s free on this stage. Because it’s in “alpha” stage, after that, it might need some bugs.
